These are really good and super easy to make. Don’t use canned green beans for this, though, you have to use fresh, or they just turn in to mush. Adopted from a recipe I found online.
1 Tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons oyster sauce
Lots of garlic
1 pound of green fresh beans (or a little more, because you’re going to trim some of them off)
Directions:
Trim the ends of the green beans off and then cut them in to halves or thirds.
Take everything else and mix it all up together. Heat the sauce in a pan until its hot, then add the green beans and saute until they are done, probably around 15 minutes.
Now, if the sauce is still pretty runny, what I like to do is remove the green beans and reduce the sauce a bit before you pour it over the beans. This step is totally optional.
Then eat that stuff. It goes really well with the Chinese pork.
Also, if someone wants to marinate a steak in this sauce and tell me how it goes, I think it should be really good. The ingredients together make a really savory sauce that AJ and I think would go really well with a steak.
